GSNETX Receives Microsoft Grant at Stonebriar Centre

On Thursday, June 25, Girl Scouts and volunteers took a mini field-trip to Stonebriar Centre in Frisco to celebrate the grand opening of the Microsoft store. GSNETX received a $200,000 technology grant from the computer giant that will go towards providing software at the STEM Center of Excellence at Camp Whispering Cedars. Lots of supporters met up at 10 a.m. where there was a ton of excitement.

Many shoppers had been waiting in line since 6:30 a.m. (some even earlier)!

There were lots of smiling Girl Scouts, parents, staff and volunteers who enjoyed every moment and were happy to show their support

FINALLY! We arrived at the Microsoft store where the festivities were ready to begin! One by one, leaders of various organizations made their way to the storefront.

Coming full circle it was realized that this generous grant is all about giving our girls the tools to thrive in the world of STEM, and continuing the Girl Scout mission
