For the second year in a row, Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas hosted its popular Mall Madness event, an incentive for Girl Scouts who renewed their membership early for the 2015-2016 calendar year. Last weekend, more than 800 Early Birds flocked to the Golden Triangle Mall for the Mall Madness slumber party! There was plenty of shopping, yummy food, fun activities, live music and hardly any sleep. Lots of stores like JCPenney, Great American Cookie, Claire’s and others helped make this event more than just the average sleepover, too! The girls also completed fun activities in the financial literacy lounge, participated in mall scavenger hunts and watched Annie in the Silver Cinema Theater. In case you missed it, take a look at the photos to see just how much fun it was! Let’s start with the shopping…
Who could resist the call of the candy store?
Love the personalized shopping bags, girls!
A few shoppers gave the mannequins a run for their money by having a super cute style of their own
Auntie Anne’s was pretty popular. And who can blame them? Their cinnamon sugar pretzels are amazing!
Everyone loves fun jewelry from Claire’s
Just like last year, the free makeovers made for a lot of happy Girl Scouts
And our friends from Medieval Times were there to take girls on a fun adventure back in time
As for the tunes, The Velvet Army got everyone pumped for a night of fun…
and were glad to take home some tasty cookies!
You can’t have a sleepover without having old-fashioned girl time
The adults had just as much fun, too!
And throughout the night, everyone had a chance to leave their mark on such an amazing event
A BIG thank you to Golden Triangle Mall, its staff and all volunteers for making this event memorable for our Girl Scouts. Here’s to next year’s Mall Madness!
