Last Saturday, we were honored to recognize our volunteers at the Annual Meeting and Volunteer Recognitions Luncheon. Ranging from those who’ve dedicated up to 45 years of inspiring girls to several of our community partners, it’s easy to see that there were many to thank for their commitment to Girl Scouting.
Before the start of the event, tables were prepped and the Honor Guard rehearsed their steps to make sure everything was perfect
A table decorated by the Historic Preservation Committee
Superhero decorations provided by Fire Twilight Camp
There was time to have fun with a few props
There were also informational tables that provided guests with the latest news about the council
Membership and becoming a “Leader First”
Fund Development unveiling their new, monthly giving initiative, Daisy’s Circle
of course the Tejas Riders we’re there to support
Then the crowds got bigger which meant it’s showtime!
As always, the ceremony began with the Girl Scout Promise and Law
First, we heard from former Board Chair, Millie Bradley, and Jennifer Bartkowski about how we’re building for the future
After lunch it was time to hear about the stories of each volunteer as they received their awards
There were tears, smiles and tons of laughs, but it made for yet another great Girl Scout memory to last a lifetime.
